Tuesday July 29, 2008
Time to head home! After a long weekend filled with worship, new friends, hugs, tears and ways to challenge our faith and learn ways to right the wrong, its time to head back to our homes and families. After a final mainstage session, buses and cars loaded up with kids and their luggage as Convention 2008 came to a close. We pray that you all go home in grace and continue to be filled with God's love! See you next year in North Carolina! Click Here For Photos

Today is the last full day of Convention, but still packed with fellowship and fun! We started off the day with Chap Clark continued teaching on Mark 4. He challenged us to get out of our boat of security. After lunch some participants took off in buses and vans to area service projects. They organized a food pantry, played with the disabled, cleaned and moved rooms in an area Christian School and more. Those who stayed on campus went to more seminars, played volleyball, participated and cheered for the players in the soccer finals or relaxed in the afternoon sun. The evening mainstage was prayer and worship led by Troy Kooima and the band. The Spirit was evident in the ballroom Monday night as leaders circled around the students and prayed over eachother. Katie Kapteyn closed off the evening with more praise and worship during her encore. Click Here For Photos

This morning we woke up to more sunshine and were ready to have Sunday morning worship with Chap Clark. He spoke on Mark 4 and how we sometimes wonder where Jesus is in the tempests of our lives. Pocket Full of Rocks closed in song and praise. Throughout the rest of the day we were encouraged to pray over and paint a tent that will be sent to Darfur to house a family. After small groups on the lawn, the kids were able to attend seminars and the leaders were invited to a youth workers luncheon where they shared thoughts and needs of their youth ministries. The afternoon was packed with the soccer tournament, outdoor activites and more seminars. Youth Unlimited welcomed Shane Claiborne to the Mainstage this evening where he shared stories of trips to Calcutta and Iraq and how he has turned his life into one of Righting the Wrongs throughout the world in Jesus' name. The evening sessions was one filled with the holy spirit as we worshipped and sang and prayed that the Holy Spirit continue to stir in our hearts. Now that Sunday is coming to a close laughter and voices of youth fill the campus and another day of Convention also comes to an end.

Another beautiful, hot summer day in Bozeman. This morning we started out the day with early morning devotions with Chap Clark. At mainstage we worshipped with the YACS youth group from Iowa, who performed a series of "tableaus," scenes acted out to tell a story. Following the YACS, Chap Clark talked from the morning mainstage and challenged us all to live beyond our story on the surface, and begin being real with each other. This challenge was later carried out in small group discussions on the lawn. The afternoon was full of a variety of recreational games, service projects and seminars to experience. The warm seminar classrooms didn't deter youth and leaders from piling in to hear the likes of Chap Clark, Tiger McLuen, Duane Smith, JR Pittman and Jason Taylor. After a lasagna dinner it was off to the evening session where we saw illusionist Danny Ray perform card tricks, heard a testimony from Compassion International and danced and worshipped with the band. After mainstage, encores were performing at various locations throughout campus and the 3 on 3 basketball tournament began! Fwew! It was another full day and we're looking forward to it all again tomorrow!
