How It Works>> Pre-registrations will be placed into sites on a first come, first served basis based on postmark dates. We wait two weeks before processing applications. For example: the application is postmarked November 3 – the pre-registration form will not be assigned to a site until November 17. Once your group has been placed, you’ll receive a pre-registration confirmation letter in the mail including an important pre-registration number that you should include on each and every registration form you submit for your group. A pre-registration is intended to reserve your spot(s) at the specified site until March 1, 2008, at which time Youth Unlimited must receive a complete two-page registration form for each individual attending, in addition to any outstanding payment due. Failure to do so will result in a $50 USD / $50 CAD late fee for any registration forms NOT received within 30 days of the deadline and may result in the loss of your reserved spot(s). See explanation below. Registration (1) If you have not pre-registered for spaces, your registrations will be placed into sites on a first come, first serve basis based on postmark dates. Again, we wait two weeks before processing applications. For example: the application is postmarked November 3 – the registration form will not be assigned to a site until November 17. (2) If a registration form is missing signatures, medical information or payment, the form will be returned to the individual along with a note about the missing information. Please help us save time by checking to see that all this information if filled out correctly! (3) Once the registration is complete and fully entered into our system, each individual will receive a confirmation letter in the mail. NOTE: It may take 4-6 weeks from the time of application to receive your confirmation letter. You will not receive a confirmation letter until we receive all required signatures and medical information. (4) Approximately 30 days before your mission experience, you will receive a welcome letter from the Host Team with specific information about what to pack, when to arrive, what you’ll be doing and what to expect. Specific questions about the site should be directed to the Host Team Coordinator. (5) Approximately 2 weeks before your mission experience, each adult will receive a packet in the mail including more information about what to expect, helpful tips for being a small group leader as well as the adult leader devotions, the student devotions and small group questions to mentally and spiritually prepare for the experience. Why must all registration forms and payment for pre-registered spaces be submitted by January 15, 2008 for Spring Break experiences and March 1, 2008 for Summer experiences? After the listed dates, a whirlwind of planning and activities take place on our end to prepare the way for your mission experience. We need to know who you’re sending in order for us to purchase supplementary insurance, order t-shirts, send the correct supplies to the Mission Host Teams, plan for small groups and work sites, and much more. Many Host Teams even assign prayer partners to each individual and therefore need to know the names of your group as soon as possible. If you’re not able to fill a space by the deadline, we need to open that space up for others who may be willing and able to serve and encounter God.
