Sites are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis according to postmark/online registration date. We wait two weeks after the postmark/online registration date and then process applications for that date to assure postal delivery time for everyone throughout North America. Please allow 3-6 weeks to receive your confirmation letter.

REGISTRATION DEADLINES>>>

A non-refundable deposit of $50 USD/$75 CAD will reserve your spot at the specified site. Your spot(s) will be reserved until January 15, 2008 for spring break experiences, and until March 1, 2008 for summer experiences. >>NOTE: In the event that you do not use all reserved spots, unused deposits may not be applied to any other balance due, nor will they be refunded.
Pre-registration is intended to reserve your spot(s) at the specified site until March 1, 2008, at which time Youth Unlmited MUST receive a COMPLETE two-page registration form for each individual attending, in addition to any outstanding payment due. Failure to do so will result in a $50 USD/$50 CAD late fee for any registration forms not received within 30 days of the deadline and may result in the loss of your reserved spot(s).

2. Registration in Full can be completed at any time after October 1, 2007. Simply fill out a COMPLETE two-page registration form for each individual attending and send in the full registration fee.

*US vs. Canadian Missions Registration Prices
Youth Unlimited is aware of the recent strengthening of the Canadian dollar in the global economy. Our registration fees for 2008 were set in March 2007 based on the US to Canadian exchange rate at that time, the past trends, and future projections. When we set an exchange rate of 1.18 in March of 2007 for our 2008 programs, we did not anticipate the drastic strengthening of the Canadian dollar in relationship to the US dollar.

Even though our budgets are based on the 1.18 exchange rate, and the current exchange rate is 1.02, we are not going to make a registration fee adjustment.

We encourage Canadian registrants to consider paying your Missions registration fee in Canadian dollars despite the currency exchange rates as they stand today.  We will honor payments in American funds, but require that all payments are made in one currency throughout the registration process. 

Effective March 24, 2008, Youth Unlimited will no longer issue Canadian tax receipts for our missions program registrants. Over the past several months, Dynamic Youth Ministries (the umbrella organization under which Youth Unlimited, GEMS and Cadets exist) has been reviewing their tax receipting policies. After review by an attorney, it was determined that issuing tax receipts for missions registration fees does not fall within the guidelines established by Revenue Canada. To continue issuing tax receipts for missions registration fees would jeopardize our charitable donation status in Canada. We apologize for any inconvenience or confusion this decision may cause and thank you for your cooperation.

We appreciate your understanding and patience with regard to registration fees and currency exchange rates. Please be assured that Youth Unlimited’s Finance Committee is monitoring the situation and looking at possible solutions for the future. • December 1 - Pre-registration closes.
• January 15 - Completed resgistration forms and remaining balance due of registration fee for all pre-registered participants.

Summer Mission Experiences:

• October 1 - Registration OPENS A Pre-registration deposit of $50 USD / $75 CAD will reserve your spot(s). At anytime, you may also register and pay in full.
• February 1 - Pre-registration closes.
• March 1 - Completed resgistration forms and remaining balance due of registration fee for all pre-registered participants.

International Mission Experiences:

• October 1 - Registration OPENS A Pre-registration deposit of $50 USD / $75 CAD will reserve your spot(s). At anytime, you may also register and pay in full.
• February 1 - Pre-registration closes.
• March 1 - A second payment of $500 USD / $630 CAD and completed registration form due to book your flights.
• May 15 - Remaining balance due for registration and transportation fee.

Transportation Policy>>>
Registration Fees do NOT include transportation to and from sites. All international flights to and from sites are arranged by Youth Unlimited EXCEPT for US, Canadian and Mexican sites. Airfare is not included in the international registration fees.

Each group of five or more must also provide vehicle(s) and adult driver(s) (typically small group leaders) to transport an equal number of participants during the duration of the mission trip for all US and Canadian sites, except for Southwest US sites. If your group is unable to provide van transportation, please have a youth leader call YU to discuss options and additional charges.

Cancellation Policy/Refund Policy/Site Change Policy>>>
For US, Canadian and Mexican experiences, Youth Unlimited will refund monies in excess of $150 US/$175 CAD if written cancellation request is received by Youth Unlimited prior to April 1, 2008. No refunds will be made after April 1, 2008 for summer missions experiences and prior to February 1 for spring break mission expereinces. Please note that pre-registration deposits are non-refundable and not transferable to your remaining balance due.

For all other international experiences, the cancellation policy varies based on whether the fees were paid by the individual or by financial supporters. Contact us for more information.

If you request a change of site location or switch participants after April 1, 2008, an additional $50 USD/$70 CAD will be charged to cover administrative costs.

Smoking Policy>>>
Most mission sites are non-smoking. Check Site Locations for exceptions.

Small Group Leaders>>>
Adult Small Group Leaders must be at least 21 years old and be mature Christian role models. All adults must have their pastor approve and sign their registration form endorsing their participation as a small group leader. Adult leaders act as work site supervisors and discussion facilitators for a small group of 6-8 students. NOTE: Youth groups must send a minimum of one adult for every five teens attending from your church.
