| BELIZE SERVE GROUPS ONLY SITE Dates: July 17 - 24, 2010 (Saturday - Saturday) Cost: Early Bird Rate by April 1: $995 USD Regular Rate on/after April 1: $1,045 USD This is a NON-SMOKING site. Site Capacity: 19 (incl. leaders) NOTE: This is not a typical SERVE experience. You will be challenged to grow in your faith, but there will not be an evening session with a speaker and worship leader. General Description: Join Youth Unlimited in partnering with World Wide Christian Schools to work with developing Christian Schools in Belize that need assistance to provide adequate facilities to educate children. We will be working with a variety of different ministries that have schools for children in Belize. Many of these schools need help to provide a great place for children to learn about the gospel and to help them provide access for a Christ-centered education. Belize is an English-speaking country so there will not be a language barrier as you serve here. Facilities: YWAM Base – Roaring Creek, Belize Work Sites: We will be working on these school grounds, painting, fixing, possibly making a basketball court, and other hands on projects. Some of the schools possible in this list: Cayo Christian Academy, Presbyterian Day School, Caye Caulker High School, St. Andrews School and YWAM ministry base. Day Away: Old Belize – water, beach, history and culture of Belize, lunch -- a good but inexpensive day off. Transportation: Registration fees do NOT include airfare to and from Belize. As an all-inclusive site, transportation will be provided for you once you arrive at the site. You are responsible for arranging your own travel to the central point of departure (It will likely be Miami, Florida or Houston, Texas, depending on where the majority of participants are traveling from). YU will arrange for flights from the central point of departure to Belize City for you and the other participants, but again the price of airfare is in addition to the registration fee. The airfare typically ranges from $650-$1,000 USD depending on availability of steeply discounted seats. Please DO NOT book airfare to the central point of departure until you have received written confirmation from Youth Unlimited that you have been placed at this site. Other Info: Other expenses that are not covered by YU in the registration fee include your passport application ($85 USD), inoculations/vaccinations ($100-$200 USD estimated for recommended inoculations at county or provincial health department); souvenirs (estimate $50-100 USD).
