General Description: Minneapolis is a metropolitan area with a huge number of needs. Though the host church where you’ll be staying is located in an affluent suburb with great accommodations, you’ll be serving in some of the poorer inner city neighborhoods doing hands on work to spread the Gospel. 

Facilities: Calvary Church - Facilities are fabulous - A new large meeting room with state of the art audio/visual equipment and volunteers that know how to run it, a gym that includes a volleyball court as well as a racket ball/handball court, as well as total air conditioning. Showers will be off-site at a local school, though there are a few showers on-site.

Work Sites: You will be engaged in mostly physical work such as painting, light construction, packing food and more for agencies like the Salvation Army (Harbor Light), Teen Challenge, Feed My Starving Children among many others.

Day Away: Mall of America (http://www.mallofamerica.com) and the Water Park of America (http://www.waterparkofamerica.com)

Transportation: Registration fees do NOT include transportation to and from the sites. Each group of five or more must provide vehicle(s) and adult driver(s) (typically small group leaders) to transport an equal number of participants during the duration of the mission experience regardless of whether you fly or drive to the site. The vehicles you bring will be used to transport small groups to the work site each day, so 12-passenger vans or mini-vans are preferred. Cars do not facilitate the transportation of an entire small group in one vehicle, so please do not bring them. If you wish to bring a bus, please check with the Host Team to see if this is acceptable before you make arrangements. If your group is unable to provide van transportation, please have a youth leader call Youth Unlimited to discuss options and additional charges.

For your decision making purposes, the closest airport is Minneapolis/St Paul International Airport.
Please DO NOT book airfare until you have received written confirmation from Youth Unlimited that you have been placed at this site.
