General description: Christian Reformed World Missions’ Summer Mission Program (SMP) is a way for young adults (18 to 30 years old) to experience a life-changing summer!  With SMP, you’ll experience cross-cultural missions and learn from missionaries who are being used by God to declare His kingdom worldwide.  SMP stresses spiritual growth, learning through service, and increased knowledge of God’s Kingdom.   SMP teams learn and serve alongside our long-term missionaries and their national ministry partners around the world.  Each team does something different.  Here are some ways that SMP teams have served in the past: working with an unreached people group, teaching English, leading Vacation Bible School, prison/gang ministry, doing research on street children, working in orphanages, youth ministry, HIV/AIDS ministry, evangelism, leading camps, music/drama ministry, and much more!

Locations: 2010 locations will be chosen in the late fall of 2009.  In the past, teams have served in Guatemala, Eastern Europe, Japan, Mali, Mexico, Niger, Nigeria, the Philippines, and many other countries around the world.

How to Register: Applications for SMP 2010 will be available on the SMP website in the late fall of 2009.  Applications are due in mid-February.
