This is a NON-SMOKING site.General Description: Welcome to the tent church! Pine Grove Community Church is situated among numerous lakes and dams in central Michigan’s beautiful water wonderland.  The Muskegon River is just down the road, and is one of the nation’s most desired fishing destinations. With these summer tourist attractions surrounding our church, we faced a seating challenge regarding morning worship, so about twenty-seven years ago we put up a large circus like tent. We now average between 600-1300 people who worship with us on Sunday mornings during the summer. Participants at Pine Grove SERVE will worship with us under the tent on Sunday morning, and will have numerous opportunities for service during the week. 

Facilities: Pine Grove Christian Reformed Church and Family Life Center

Work Sites: Some service opportunities might include working for a neighboring camp doing light construction, landscaping or just cleaning and organizing the campus.  Some SERVE participants may work for the local elderly, building ramps, roofing, painting, and landscaping or general clean up.  Helping Hands of Montcalm County, as well as Love In the Name of Christ and Alpha Family Center, both located in Newaygo County, are also possible SERVE opportunities

Day Away: Our day away at Pine Grove SERVE will involve tubing down the Muskegon River.

Transportation: Registration fees do NOT include transportation to and from the sites. Each group of five or more must provide vehicle(s) and adult driver(s) (typically small group leaders) to transport an equal number of participants during the duration of the mission experience regardless of whether you fly or drive to the site. The vehicles you bring will be used to transport small groups to the work site each day, so 12-passenger vans or mini-vans are preferred. Cars do not facilitate the transportation of an entire small group in one vehicle, so please do not bring them. If you wish to bring a bus, please check with the Host Team to see if this is acceptable before you make arrangements. If your group is unable to provide van transportation, please have a youth leader call Youth Unlimited to discuss options and additional charges.For your decision making purposes, the closest airport is Grand Rapids, Michigan (GRR).
Please DO NOT book airfare until you have received written confirmation from Youth Unlimited that you have been placed at this site.
