General Description: The objective of Juarez Summer ENCOUNTER is to introduce students to the heart of Christ toward missions. In order to do this, the ENCOUNTER program focuses on developing each student through three primary areas of learning: classroom discussion, real life experiences, and mentoring. Students will live in Juarez for nine weeks, allowing them to bond with the Mexican people and culture, while also deepening their understanding of God’s heart for the lost. As students participate in a variety of experiences, a recurring theme is that God wants to use each of us wherever we are and has equipped us to serve Him.
Work Sites: Students will be working with Life Challenge International (LCI) and will be under the guidance of LCI staff. They will be living and working in Juarez, Mexico, and the work/projects they participate in will benefit both the people of Juarez (with whom LCI works on a continual basis) and LCI’s ministry.
The environment within and around the city of Juarez offers students a unique opportunity for experiencing the work of the Lord in border ministry, as Juarez is situated on the US/Mexico border.
Facilities: You will live in a dorm facility in Juarez, Mexico for the summer. The objective is to introduce you to the heart of Christ towards missions. Living in Mexico allows you to bond with the culture and people, and deepen your understanding of God's heart for the lost.
Transportation: Registration fees do NOT include airfare to and from Juarez, Mexico. As an all-inclusive site, transportation will be provided for you once you arrive at the site.
