REDLANDS, CALIFORNIA SERVE

Dates: July 11 – 18, 2009 (Saturday - Saturday)
Cost: $345 USD / $360 CAD.- Includes transportation to work sites once you arrive

General Description: The River is located in Redlands, California, 60 miles east of Los Angeles. We are an 800 member congregation, contemporary in worship and committed to service and justice both locally and globally. Our desire is to provide work sites where you can develop relationship with those you are serving.

Facilities: All leaders and students will sleep at The River Christian Reformed Church. You will shower in homes of church members.

Work Sites: A variety of activities including painting, clean-up, general repair, food bank, thrift store, etc.

Day Away: Pacific Ocean beach day

Transportation: Registration fees do NOT include transportation to and from this mission experience. As an all-inclusive site, transportation will be provided for you once you arrive at the site.

Adult leaders will likely be asked to drive vehicles borrowed or rented by the Host Team during the mission experience. Please drive and treat these vehicles as if they were your own. Drivers will be held responsible for damage to borrowed or rented vehicles.

For your decision making purposes, the closest airport is Ontario, California International Airport. The Host Team would prefer that you fly into Ontario, California International Airport. Palm Springs, Santa Ana and LosAngeles (LAX) are also possibilities, but please contact the Host Team before making your flight arrangements to verify availability for pick-up. 

Please DO NOT book airfare until you have received written confirmation from Youth Unlimited that you have been placed at this site.
