| SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH SERVE Though SERVE experiences typically host 50-100 participants with a speaker and evening worship time, this SERVE will be a smaller site with small group discussion format each evening rather than a typical evening program. This site is open to individuals or a small group of 5 or less with a youth leader only. The total site capacity is 6 participants. General Description: You will help prepare and teach a Vacation Bible School-type of program for the community. Facilities: You will be staying with host families from First Christian Reformed Church in Salt Lake City, Utah. Work Sites: You will be helping with First CRC’s Galilee by the Sea experience (like Vacation Bible School, but integrating families). You may also be involved with some repair in the church and bringing information to the community. Day Away: A selection of either mountain sliding or seeing the LDS Church. Transportation: Registration fees do NOT include transportation to and from the sites. Each group of five or more must provide vehicle(s) and adult driver(s), typically small group leader(s), to transport an equal number of participants during the duration of the mission experience regardless of whether you fly or drive to the site. The vehicles you bring will be used to transport small groups to the work site each day so 12-passenger vans or mini-vans are preferred. Cars do not facilitate the transportation of an entire small group in one vehicle, so please do not bring them. If you wish to bring a bus, please check with the Host Team to see if this is acceptable before you make arrangements. If your group is unable to provide van transportation, please have a youth leader call YU to discuss options and additional charges. For your decision making purposes, the closest airport is Salt Lake City, Utah.
