General Description: ENCOUNTER God by becoming a student leader at the Special Needs SERVE for people ages 14-26 with special needs that can not be accommodated on a traditional SERVE site. As a student leader, you will arrive several days before the SERVE begins to help the Host Team prepare and become part of the crew working behind the scenes. Special Needs SERVE participants will then arrive on Saturday, July 12 and from that point forward, during the week of SERVE, you will be a small group leader in addition to being a one-on-one mentor to a special needs' student. Together, you will spend time serving and worshipping God. The work projects will be tailored to the ability of the individual students that will allow them to experience the joy that comes from serving others in the name of Christ.

Facilities: City on a Hill, Zeeland, Michigan

Work Sites: You’ll receive leadership training and assist with preparing for the special needs SERVE experience. Once the Special Needs SERVE begins, you assist youth with special needs as together you may be involved with painting, yard work, office work, etc.

Transportation: Registration fees do NOT include transportation to and from this mission experience. As an all-inclusive site, transportation will be provided for you once you arrive at the site.
