Registration fees do NOT include transportation to and from the sites. Each church group must provide vehicle(s) and adult driver(s) for the entire mission experience regardless of whether you fly or drive to the site. The vehicles you bring will be used to transport small groups to the work site each day, so 12-passenger vans or mini-vans are preferred. Cars do not facilitate the transportation of an entire small group in one vehicle, so please do not bring them. If you wish to bring a bus, please check with the Host Team to see if this is acceptable before you make arrangements. If your group is unable to provide van transportation, please have a youth leader call Youth Unlimited to discuss options and additional charges.
Grand Rapids, MI (GRR). Please DO NOT book airfare until you have received written confirmation from Youth Unlimited that you have been placed at this site.
Welcome to Grand Rapids! The Brookside SERVE Site is in its 13th season and will provide students and leaders with the opportunity to grow their faith while they serve the community and hang out with friends, both new and old. Our Host Team is made up of SERVE veterans and we love SERVE! We’ve coordinated meaningful work with a number of organizations in town and will provide care directly to under-resourced families and individuals in our own neighborhood. You’ll also have tons of fun with games, activities and a few surprises throughout the week. Oh yeah, the food is great too.
Participants will eat, sleep, worship, and play at Brookside Christian Reformed Church. The church is air-conditioned, has a full size gym, and plenty of space.
You will enjoy a trip to the beach at Lake Michigan on Sunday and a day at Michigan’s Adventure Amusement Park. There is no additional cost for the day away. Additional park info can be found at www.miadventure.com.
