Our work sites are a combination of relational ministry opportunities and physical work. Most groups change work sites daily so that you get a variety of opportunities to serve. Some examples of the work sites are;
- Visiting and caring for people in the nursing home
- Assisting in community gardens and completing landscaping work for the elderly
- Doing light construction rehabbing homes
- Helping at summer day camps for children
- Stocking, cleaning and organizing at food pantries, as well as giving food to those who are in need.

Registration fees do NOT include transportation to and from the sites. Each youth missionary group must provide vehicle(s) and adult driver(s) (typically small group leaders) to transport an equal number of youth participants during the duration of the mission experience regardless of whether you fly or drive to the site. The vehicles you bring will be used to transport small youth missionary groups to the work site each day, so 12-passenger vans or mini-vans are preferred. Cars do not facilitate the transportation of an entire small group in one vehicle, so please do not bring them. If you wish to bring a bus, please check with the Host Team to see if this is acceptable before you make arrangements. If your group is unable to provide van transportation, please have a youth leader call Youth Unlimited to discuss options and additional charges.
Muskegon, MI (MKG). Please DO NOT book airfare until you have received written confirmation from Youth Unlimited that you have been placed at this site.
If you imagine that the map of Michigan is a hand, we’re located at the base of the little finger. The work days for students participating in this mission trip will be spent with some great community-based organizations, such as Love INC. and Community Encompass, a local transitional housing agency, and people who need help in this medium-sized town (population of around 100,000) that has many characteristics of a large city. We look forward to a week in which God will speak into hearts, touch lives in need of His provision and show up in ways we never could have predicted.
You will be staying at Calvin Christian Reformed Church. There is no A/C.
