Location and directions
Get DirectionsTransportation
Registration fees do NOT include transportation to and from the sites. Each church group must provide vehicle(s) and adult driver(s) for the entire mission experience regardless of whether you fly or drive to the site. The vehicles you bring will be used to transport small groups to the work site each day, so 12-passenger vans or mini-vans are preferred. Cars do not facilitate the transportation of an entire small group in one vehicle, so please do not bring them. If you wish to bring a bus, please check with the Host Team to see if this is acceptable before you make arrangements. If your group is unable to provide van transportation, please have a youth leader call Youth Unlimited to discuss options and additional charges.
Nearest Airport
Logan Airport – Boston, MA (BOS), or TF Green Airport – Providence, RI (PVD). Please DO NOT book airfare until you have received written confirmation from Youth Unlimited that you have been placed at this site.

Site Description
Part of the larger Blackstone River Valley, which is known as the “Birthplace of the American Industrial Revolution,” Whitinsville, Massachusetts, the town (along with the rest of the Blackstone River Valley) was recently designated part of a National Historic Park! However, you would not know this by walking along the rivers, mills, and housing that characterize this historic diamond in the rough. Neglected due to economic decline, parts of town including key waterways, potential parks, and historic buildings are greatly in need of some TLC. Students will break out the work gloves and be asked to lend some sweat equity to help restore hope, pride, and beauty to one of our country’s newest National Parks; while also growing closer to the One who restores our lives.
Facilities
Participating will be living, sleeping, fellowshipping and worshiping in our church building. The majority of the building does not have A/C; however all participants will be sleeping in the lower lever which tends to stay cooler, and we will provide a fan for each room. Meals and free time will occur in our Fellowship Hall and DOES have A/C. Participants will walk to a nearby school to shower daily.
Day Away
You will have the opportunity to visit historic Boston, MA!
